Course Overview
Writing for Digital Publications is a course designed to help writers improve their skills and expand their reach through digital platforms.
Throughout this course, students will learn how to craft engaging and effective content for a variety of digital platforms, including blogs, social media, and e-newsletters.
Students will also learn how to adapt their writing style and tone to fit the unique needs and expectations of online readers. In addition to practicing their writing skills, students will also learn how to effectively promote their content online and measure its impact.
Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to receive feedback on their writing and engage in discussions with their peers and the instructor.
By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently create and publish high-quality content that resonates with their audience and furthers the mission of their organization.

Instructors
Lecturer: Julien Neaves
Julien Neaves is a veteran journalist with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He has worked for multiple media houses, namely Jamaica Observer, Trinidad Express, Trinidad Newsday and Loop Caribbean.
He has written and edited for digital platforms for years both as a journalist and as editor of his film and television review website Robot Mango Reviews. In 2023 he was the winner of the BBC International Radio Playwriting Competition.
Assistant Lecturer: Natasha Brown
Natasha Brown is the founder and owner of Brownie Communication Concepts, a Public Relations and communications boutique. She is the holder of a B.A. degree in Media and Communication from the University of the West Indies, Mona Jamaica and a Master of Arts Degree in Communications, Media and Public Relations from the University of Leicester.
Additionally, she has a Level 3 Diploma in Marketing with distinction from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
